Neuronball League
This is something ive been looking to do in a long while, and due to the game not having any in build system to support it, I feel we should think about starting an unofficial one.
I speak of course about the Neuronball League!
The initial idea would be to have one or two divisions of players that play each other on a weekly basis in a round robin format. That is groups of maybe 5-10 to begin with. With a group of 5, each player would be required to speak to and organise a friendly game with their league group teams. This would result in 4 games a week for a weekly tournament with 5 man groups.
Now I have no idea what the turnout for such a Cup would be, so this post is designed to get a taste of how many people would be interested in taking part in such a league. I think the minimum number of people per group would be 5, and perhaps a minimum of 2 groups to introduce the promotion/demotion from groups mechanic that is present in other leagues.
What I need from you guys is at least 10 people saying that they are interested in taking part and putting in the time to organise 4 or 5 friendly games per week versus their group opponents.
The rules would be finalised once/if we get the numbers that we need but they would look very similar to something like:
- Friendly game for each game
- No supporters for either team(might be hard to implement as anyone can just view any game but im sure we can come to some agreement at some point over this)
- No boosters
- Defaults (where the opponent doesn’t turn up or cannot play will result in a 3-0 win for the person who turns up)
Another option would be to do a best of 3 for each game, and the chart would take into account goal difference and points etc.
Depending on group sizes, there would be promotions and demotions for bottom/top players. As moe people join the groups will get bigger and there will be more of them.

Apart from this, just about anything goes. Whatever set up you wish to use.
Depending on the activity this thread gets we could even have players have multiple teams in the leagues if it generated the numbers necessary to keep things going. The more teams the better. (Its far too early to even consider controversy over win trading or any of that shit that comes with letting in multiple teams, lets just get the thing going first and worry about that later)
The advantage of using friendly games is that they don’t use valuable batteries or charges. I know some people really have little time or need to wait for their batteries to charge, especially Br-Ba ones. For those who don’t know, friendly games don’t use any resources, therefore there shouldn’t be any worry about spending a br-ba charge for a league game when you would rather use it to queue a game.
Post below a “Count me in!” or something that lets me know you want to be part of this. When you do, also post comment and ideas for things you would love to see in the league. After all, its you guys who will be playing it so the better it is and the more good ideas we have the better it will be
