There seem to be several different types of spinouts and malfunctions. Please confirm or correct these assumptions:
Plain spinout (no electric stuff or flames) = your strength wasn't high enough for the encounter. Electric spinout (Tesla-ball like charges in your bot as it spins) = your bot needs a more powerful battery, or.... Smokeout (smoke from your bot) = Your MIPS exceeded your processor capacity, or... Blackout (your bot dims and drifts) = No battery power left. Flameout (your bot becomes a burnt, charred bit of earth) = Too much damage or...

You forgot about the stunning, it's like the plain spinout, but the neuron gets disabled. Flameout doesn't accour only when there's too much damage (indeed, i've never seen this), I only saw the flameout, when the neurons have no batery at all.

I think electric spin out means that the gap between the two collided neurons' strength attribute may be too big, and electric spinouts usually lasts much longer than plain spinouts, some times even lasting a whole dxmn match.
I'm Taiwanese, and I think this reply has a lot of bad grammar, sorry for that.
